Thanksgiving is a day to celebrate with family and friends around a dinner table, but the day is about more than just food. It's a day to be thankful for what we have accomplished, and reflect on what we have not accomplished this year. Gratitude is the key to happiness - so here are a few of the things that I am thankful for this year:
I may not be able to run as much as I like, or as fast as I like, my resting heart rate may not be as low as it used to be, and my muscles may not be as firm, but I can hear, see, smell and feel. Perfect health to help me keep on going.
ALL THE PEOPLE I LOVE
Whatever may come in life, I know I can get through it because I have wonderful family support and incredible friends who won't let my smiles fade.
GRATEFUL, HAPPY CLIENTS
In the words of Albert Einstein: "Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value." A happy client is my greatest reward in this business.
FRESH BAKED BREAD
Do you realize how much preparation and patience go into making a loaf of bread from scratch using a starter? Prepping, pausing, turning dough, and baking - it takes 2 days! Thank you Frank, for giving us our daily bread each week.
I would not be in business without your support. Thanks you so much for your trust in my abilities and for the business that you've provided me through your referrals.
COACHING FOR A CAUSE
In honor of all of my friends and loved ones who have lost their battle with cancer, for those who have won their battle, and for those who continue to fight this devastating disease - you are in my thoughts and prayers.
FRIENDS WHO GET CAMPING PERMITS MONTHS IN ADVANCE
A big thanks to Mina and Minsik for, yet again, organizing our yearly camping excursion. Yosemite and Half Dome - piece of cake. More on this in next month's newsletter.
A PROPER SUMMER
After 14 years of life in the City, and 11 spent on the foggy side of town, we finally had a summer filled with more sunshine than all my years of city living combined. No wonder real estate prices in the Richmond have been skyrocketing!
AN EXTENDED VISIT FROM MY MOM
Nothing beats the enjoyment of having my mom around the house when she's usually 10,000 miles away. Thanks mom for the 2 months you spent with us: your guidance and advice, sweeping the back yard, and folding the laundry. We miss you!
WAKING UP EVERY DAY
Finally, waking up each day knowing that it will bring new hopes, love, tears, lessons, success, and experiences, all stitched together.
Wishing you a Happy Thanks/Friends/Family Giving with the ones you love!
